On June 4, 2026, in recognition of World Environment Day, our Green Ambassadors visited TWM Group’s integrated Waste Management Facility in Roku to better understand how waste is managed locally in Port Moresby.

This visit builds on the progress already underway at our Head Office within our Starhill development, where we have rolled out a pilot sustainable waste management program across three floors. This initiative focuses on improving waste segregation, reducing contamination, and minimizing landfill waste as part of our Zero-Waste Strategy — with the intention to expand and implement these practices across all our project sites.

At the TWM Group’s Roku facility — a first-of-its-kind in Papua New Guinea — the team observed the impactful work being carried out across waste and water management, recycling, construction waste recovery, and renewable solutions. From structured waste segregation to innovative approaches like plastic upcycling and renewable-powered operations, TWM Group is demonstrating how waste can be transformed into valuable resources through well-designed systems.

The visit provided practical insights that reinforce our own sustainability efforts and highlighted the importance of everyday actions — particularly sorting waste correctly at the source — in reducing environmental impact.
